The External Linkages Department in collaboration with the Mass Communication Department, RWU, conducted a meeting with Mr. Mehmet Kiraz, Turkiye’s Education Counsellor at Embassy of Turkiye, Islamabad on December 8, 2022. On the directions of Prof. Dr. Anila Kamal, Vice Chancellor, The Rawalpindi Women University (RWU), Mr. Javed Hassan Awan, Additional Director (External Linkages), Dr. Nauman Ahmed Ansari, HoD Mass Communication, Dr. Baqir Husnain, Additional Director (QEC) and Ms. Iraj Munawar Gill, Assistant Director (External Linkages) from Rawalpindi Women University met with Mr. Mehmet Kiraz, Türkiye’s Education Counsellor to discuss potential areas of collaboration between the Rawalpindi Women University and Turkish Universities. Both sides agreed to empower women through education, strengthen academic ties through student and faculty exchange programs as well as creation of joint research opportunities. Additionally they also discussed producing scholarship opportunities for female students on both sides. Mr. Mehmat Kiraz ensured full support to link RWU with the Turkish counterparts for collaborations”.
