A seminar was held by the Department of Sociology on “Girls Outperforming Boys in Education: A Cultural Transformation in Pakistani Society”. The aim of the seminar was to highlight the achievement of girls in the field of education. Dr. Raza Ullah, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Rawalpindi Women University briefed the students on the girls’ success in schools and colleges during the recent years in Pakistani society. He mentioned that it is a fact that girls are now doing better than boys academically at school and college levels. Dr. Aisha Bhatti, Chairperson, Department of Sociology, RWU also shared her views on this gender reverse change in education.
